Week 10: Rander
I rendered out my figures to put into AE. To match the background and the rain, I paid attention to the colour tones and lighting in order to make the figure and the background less abrupt. the back of the figure is dark and there is a light from the front, in terms of colour, I lowered the saturation of the figure a bit to match the background better, the background is cool I also cooled the colour of the skin a bit.
I have learnt a lot this term, especially in optimizing my work, which requires not only good models but also attention to all the details.
Week 9:Understanding rigs

In this lesson, we animated facial expressions based on the video reference, which was a bit difficult for me, and I needed to add more details to the expressions on the model, such as the wrinkles that show up when you are angry. I also needed to add more expressions, pay attention to the shape of the mouth and coordinate of facial expressions.
Week 8:Constrains
In week 8, I used blendshape and join to create an animation of a character’s open mouth expression, this animation is not natural and not good enough, I still need to improve it.
Week 7:Hierarchies/rigging

In this session, we start to adjust the parts of the UV and texture that don’t match, thinking about character face binding, adding joints first so that the head can move as a whole, and then the facial expression details.
Week 6:Detailing and texturing

This week, we added more details to the figure model, such as double eyelids and wrinkles. The adjustments have also made the model more aesthetically pleasing and we have also made his texture maps, for the skin and the eyes respectively.

In this session, we started modelling the head, starting with Quad Draw then adjusting the wiring, as well as sculpting the face, which gives the face a softer, more natural look, and our initial foray into Blendershape.
Week 4: Hot Air Balloon

After completing last week’s modelling I painted the texture for the hot air balloon, the texture was made by myself in AI with the letters Gina, which is my English name. Its style is as relaxed and happy as a party. This model will be used in the Nuke course.
Week 3: Modelling tools

We embarked on more complex projects, making glassware and modelling a hot air balloon. For the former, it was important to place it in a suitable environment so that the glassware would blend in with it. There is a wealth of detail in modelling a hot air balloon, such as the chains and clasps that connect the balloon, the engine and tubes are also essential parts of the balloon, I made the passenger section of the balloon into a fence style, I like the neat and orderly design.
Week 2: Lego Figure

We created his head, arms, upper body and legs separately, it was important to adjust the wiring and get the lines right. After we finished modelling we started adding materials, as it was a simple lego I chose to colour it with AI standard surface, expanded the UV of the head and added an expression material for the logo figurine.
